From 2013-2015, City Showcase was IMG’s partner providing and managing all staging and music around the course at the Color Run UK in Belfast, Birmingham, Brighton, London Wembley, London Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Manchester and Sunderland.
In 2013, City Showcase also gave several new and emerging DJ’s the opportunity to host the “Finish Festival” on the finish stage. These included DJ Sc@r, Ben Higham, DJ Sammy G, Leroy Allen, Reece Rodgers and Connor Coates. After 2013, Capital DJ’s took the DJ role.
The Color Run is an American concept run by IMG in the UK. These specific events were licensed by the American founder hence the American spelling. The Color Run™ is known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet and is a unique colour race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. Less about your 10-minute-mile and more about having the time of your life, The Color Run is a five-kilometre, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometre. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Color Festival,” using more coloured powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid colour combinations.
