Northbank Summer Festival was a month long programme of activity from 27 June to 29 July 2016 with five key events: Northbank Wimbledon Week, Arts Night London, Friday Food Festival, Embankment Summer Market and Tea for Two. City Showcase worked with Northbank BID (working with businesses in The Strand and Embankment in London) to create, programme, produce and promote this important activation for the BID.
Embankment Summer Market was a stand-alone and independent City Showcase event coming under the marketing umbrella for this special month.
Northbank Wimbledon Week
Northbank Wimbledon Week took place on June 27th to July 1st at Victoria Embankment Gardens. City Showcase organised this five day festival featuring tennis from Wimbledon screened live daily between 11am – 8pm on a large screen free to the public. The event included street food pitches and music on the stage.
Friday Food Festivals
City Showcase booked and managed Friday Food Festivals which took place on 8th July, 22nd July and 29th July with food pitches open between 11am and 7.30pm.
Tea for Two
On the last Friday of the month, City Showcase curated and produced Tea for Two which also included special tea food stalls and dancers teaching the audience and encouraging active participation
